First, it was great to see so many new and old members tonight and welcome if you have just decided to get involved now.
Auditions will start on Sunday at 1:00pm and will be done in character groups (eg, all the Cinderellas, Dan Deeneys etc). Once you have auditioned you will be free to leave. All cast will be contacted by phone or email by Tuesday with the outcome of their audition.
Each person may audition for up to 2 parts, including chorus.
Auditions will cost £1 + all cast members must pay a membership fee of £5 on the day (This will cover them for performances during the next year).
Each audition will consist of a song and an acting part. Please ensure you have rehearsed both of these thoroughly before the day to give you the best chance of getting a part.

I'm taking this opportunity, while Helena is teaching a few dances, to give you all some insight into our brand new Youth Production of Wind in the Willows.
You know, it's always daunting starting a new show, particularly when it comes so close to the end of the last but we must be doing something right this time. Every rehearsal the parents are coming in earlier and earlier to take a sneaky peek at our show. They have given some fantastic feedback and we're looking forward to improving in the months ahead.
It has been a real treat to have such a large cast for this show (27), although I'm pretty sure the costume department are sweating and stage crew are considering building an extension to the stage in order to accomodate them all.
The large cast is something which is all Emma's (director -Little Shop of Horrors) fault for challenging me to create a show where all the cast remained on stage at all times. Obviously I accepted (should've made a bet on it first) and now Helena...
A.G.M. time! Another year has passed since our last Annual General Meeting and so much has happened. We've managed three shows in the last 12months and it was so much fun we're planning on doing it all over again and then some.
We're working hard on a Murder Mystery to puzzle and entertain you in April.
We are currently preparing for the Bethel Crowd's annual murder mystery evening, which this year is Directing Dilemma, and will take place on Saturday 9th April. Jason Taylor is directing, and has the task of making sure that the cast are prepared to face questioning from the audience. As usual, it has been a lot of fun so far, and we are all looking forward to putting on a fun night for the community. Our performance starts at 7:15pm, and the £5 ticket price includes a supper. We hope you'll all come along and try and work out whodunnit.
All the dance numbers are set, the costumes are ready and the car, 'Greased Lightnin', is almost finished. We are at the point in rehearsals where we do a full run of the show, the cast are asked put down their scripts and everyon'es hard work will finally start to pay off as we see the show coming together. The rehearsal period has been so much fun, we've laughed and danced and had a few injuries along the way.
Now the pressure is really on as we aim to entertain our audiences with one of the most popular musicals of all time.
For our cast and crew at this point Grease really is the word.
Don't forget you still have time to grab your tickets from:
Grease rehearsals are well and truly up and running. The cast are fabulous and are working really hard to put together what looks to be a fabulous show.
Singing and dancing rehearsal last night and Helena (aka Marty and choreographer) really put the cast through their paces. I'm thrilled with how the dance for 'we go together' looks.
The first dance we set was for the opening number Grease and was first rehearsed in my back garden. With such a short rehearsal period we have to be creative with our rehearsal venues.
Next challenge is to set the dance for Greased Lightning with some very interesting props.
If you want to come and see the fantastic musical which is Grease and see our talented cast as you have never seen them before tickets are available from bethelcrowd.ticketsource.co.uk
If you are into your James Bond stories, you won't want to miss our performance of Red Macintosh! The junior workshop have been working very hard and now we are only a week away from our opening night. This wonderful parody of 007 is a fun family show with a lot of laughs.
Our performance of Red Macintosh is a double bill so you can enjoy two of Red Mac's best adventures.
