I wish I could tell you our full song list for the upcoming musical revue You Can't Stop the Beat (tickets on sale here) but we are being extremely careful to make sure that the evening will be full of surprises. Why? Why? Well our directors have worked hard to take you on the journey of life from childhood to adulthood and I don't want to be accused of rocking the boat by spilling too many secrets here, though for those of you like us who have far too many musical lyrics stored in your head you may find there is more than meets the eye in what I write.

Now rehearsals are about half way through and we are progressing well but I have this singular impression things are moving too fast. Everyone is working so hard and we are making memories that will last forever. The dances are pushing us to step up to the challenge but the post rehearsal aches are nothing like I've ever known before. That being said I wouldn't change a thing rehearsals are so much fun. We are currently preparing for the Bethel Crowd's annual murder mystery evening, which this year is Directing Dilemma, and will take place on Saturday 9th April. Jason Taylor is directing, and has the task of making sure that the cast are prepared to face questioning from the audience. As usual, it has been a lot of fun so far, and we are all looking forward to putting on a fun night for the community. Our performance starts at 7:15pm, and the £5 ticket price includes a supper. We hope you'll all come along and try and work out whodunnit.

So the countdown to show week is here.

All the dance numbers are set, the costumes are ready and the car, 'Greased Lightnin', is almost finished. We are at the point in rehearsals where we do a full run of the show, the cast are asked put down their scripts and everyon'es hard work will finally start to pay off as we see the show coming together. The rehearsal period has been so much fun, we've laughed and danced and had a few injuries along the way.

Now the pressure is really on as we aim to entertain our audiences with one of the most popular musicals of all time.

For our cast and crew at this point Grease really is the word.
